Kintsugi TrEES

Measuring approximately 9 feet high by about 60 inches round, “Kintsugi Trees” are suited for outdoor or indoor settings.

The design of these two trees is inspired by the Japanese art of “kintsugi,” a way of repairing broken pottery and other objects to embrace their history, brokenness and rejuvenation. With “Kintsugi Trees,” I wanted to show the hope possible when we respect and repair the natural world.

“Kintsugi Trees” are stoneware-strength clay with porcelain slip and underglazes, assembled over a metal and PVC frame for strength and durability. The base can be adapted for indoor/patio display (i.e. on top of a hard surface such as concrete). The trees can also be anchored into the ground for outdoor display.

The price of $3,000 includes local Houston area delivery and setup. Please use the Contact button to contact me for more information.

LIFE OF A MOON

Available for outdoor or indoor display, “Life of a Moon” is approximately 7 feet wide in its temporary home at Heights Ironworks. It can be adjusted for a slightly narrower or wider composition.

This 7-piece series references phases of the moon I have enjoyed observing for years through the huge old oak trees of the Heights.

Life of a Moon is stoneware-strength clay and glaze, sealed and weatherproof.

The price of $1,200 includes local Houston area delivery and setup. Please use the Contact button to contact me for more information.
